Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, director of the key laboratory of biological inorganic and synthetic chemistry, Ministry of Education, vice Chairman of Chinese Crystallographic Society, director of the Chinese Chemical Society and The Chinese Society of Rare Earths. He was awarded the second Prize of National Natural Science Award, the first prize of Guangdong Provincial Natural Science award, Outstanding Young Scholar Award of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Foundation and the Chinese Young Technology Award. He is an associate editor of the Chinese Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, editor of Scientia Sinica Chimica and Chinese Journal of structural chemistry and Advisory board members of Chem. Commun. And Crystengcomm. His main research interests are functional coordination chemistry and coordination-polymer crystal engineering.
