Member of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Asian Pacific Academy of Materials and the World Academy of Sciences. Director of the Academic Committee of Fujian Institute of Research on the structure of matter (FJIRSM), CAS. Former president of FJIRSM and project lead of foundation of Haixi Institutes of CAS. He Won the second prize of National Natural Science Award and first prize of CAS Natural Science Award. He is an associate editor of Crystal Growth and design, American Chemical Society. His main research interest is inorganic functional materials, nano-materials, inorganic-organic hybrid materials. He has published nearly 300 papers and was granted for eight patents.
